How do I stream audio from Linux? PDF Print E-mail
How to use a Linux machine to encode and stream media content to WingNET's Real Media servers. Q. Can I use Linux to stream live audio and/or video to WingNET?

A. Yes. Once you have Real Encoder running on your Linux box, simply type "/usr/lib/oss/soundon" and hit enter. Now type the following, "/rmenc/rmenc -a 2 -x 1 -A 4 -T "Insert Title" -S media.wingnet.net:5050/filename.rm -U author&

Once that is completed, you must create an .ram file by using a text editor. The file should be saved as "insertchoice".ram and should look like the following:

rtsp://media.wingnet.net/live/filename.rm
