Setting Outlook Express To Work Outside of WingNET's Network |

When using another internet service, you will need to enter these settings in order to check your WingNET Email.
In Netscape: 1. Go to "Window" and then down to "Mail & Newsgroups" 2. Once you are into the Netscape mail program, go to "Edit and then down to "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings" 3. Choose "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" on the left column 4. Ensure that "Use name and password" is checked. 5. Enter your username (your email address without '@wingnet.net') 6. Click "OK" 7. The next time you send a message, you will be prompted for a password. 8. Enter your email password, and check to save the password. 9. Click "OK" and you're done. ******************************************************* In Outlook Express: 1. Go to "Tools" and then down to "Accounts" 2. Click on the "Mail" tab 3. Choose your WingNET Email account and click "Properties" 4. Choose the "Servers" tab and check "My server requires authentication" 5. Now click the "Settings" button 6. Choose "Log on using" and enter your account information. 7. Your account name should read as the following; "username@wingnet.net" 8. Click "OK" until you are back at the internet accounts screen, then click "Close" 9. Close Outlook Express and then relaunch it. |
