Here is an explanation of how to use the WebMail's Control Panel for basic users.

• Logging into the WebMail's Control Panel.
• Anti-Spam ZST Protection.
• Changing your password.

Logging into the Webmail's Control Panel.

• Open up a browser, Internet Explorer or Netscape.
• Click on the location bar and type in mail.yourdomain. For example mail.wingnet.net.
• When "WingNET Virtual Email" page comes up, click on "Control Panel."
• In the "User Account" field type in your user id. For example if your e-mail address is joe@whoknows.com, then your user id is "joe" and your domain name is "whoknows.com"
• In the "Domain Name" type in your domain name.
• In the "Password" type in your password.
• When all of the fields are filled in, click "Login"
• When the "Virtual Email Control Panel" comes up, click on "Modify User" that takes you to your control panel.

Anti-Spam ZST Protection. The first option on this page is the most important and most valuable: It is the ZST Anti-Spam filter.

Most Anti-Spam filters operate on 'blacklist-centric' filtering principles. With blacklist-centric filters, EVERYONE (including spammers) is allowed to send you email UNLESS they are on your blacklist.

WingNET's Zero Spam Tolerance service (ZST) uses a revolutionary 'whitelist-centric' filter. In this new breed of filter, NO ONE is allowed to send you email unless they:

1. Are already on your whitelist.
2. Reply to a confirmation message that is automatically sent to them the first (and ONLY the first) time they send you an email.

Once someone has replied to your confirmation email, they are automatically added to your whitelist and can send email to you in the future without having to reply to a confirmation message.

• If you click on the drop down menu you will see several options to choose from.
• "Protect" option, if you click "Protect" and then click ZST Accept that will install the files needed to use the filter and it will also enable your anti-spam filter.
• "Enable" option. This option re-enables the filter if you "Disable" it. Once you choose "Enable" and click "ZST Accept" your filter is "ON."
• "Disable",it does just what it says, it disables the anti-spam filter, but it does not uninstall it. If you disable the filter you reenable it by doing the "Enable" process.
• "Remove", that will disable your filter, remove it, and place it in the backup file. You can "Restore" it later if you want. After you "Restore" the filter you will need to go through the "Enable" process for it to be active.
• "Editor" option. If you choose "Editor" and then click ZST Accept, that will take you to the editor's screen
  • Choose"White List" and click "Edit File"
  • This opens a window where you can manually type in e-mail addresses (one per line). People on this list will be able to e-mail you without having to reply to a confirmation e-mail.
  • When you finish editing any of the files, make sure you click "Save" at the bottom of the page to save whatever you added.
  • The next file you can edit is "Black List" You edit the "Black List" just like "White List" People on your blacklist Will Not be able to e-mail you at all.
  • The next file you can edit is the "Accept Template" this is the message people will receive when they reply to the confirmation e-mail from you.
  • The next file is similar to the previous one. It is the "Request Template" this is the message people receive when they e-mail you for the first time. They have to reply to this message to be placed on your white list.
  • The last option in the edit menu is "Upgrade Account" you should NEVER click this, because it might erase your white and black lists.
• "Pending" is the list of unconfirmed messages that have been sent to you. These senders are not on your white list and have not replied to the confirmation message yet. These emails may be legitimate emails or spam emails. You can delete or approve any message in this list. If you choose "Pending" and click "ZST Accept" this will take you to the list. Then you can place check marks next to the messages and either click "Delete" or "Approve". If you are unsure about an email, you can click the envelope icon to the left of the email and view the text only contents. The email will not be sent to your inbox until you click approve. Also, any email you approve will add the sender's email to your white list.
• "Shred" option. This option completely erases your ZST anti-spam filter. If you just "Remove" it, the filter is placed in the backup file, if you "Shred" it, then it deletes the filter from the backup file.

Changing your password.

• The next feature after the Anti-Spam ZST filter is changing your password.
• If you want to change your password then type it in the "New Password" field, and type it again in "Password (again)" and then click "Modify User" button which is right below the password.
• You can also change your real name by typing it in the "Real name" field and clicking "Modify User"

Forwarding your e-mail to another e-mail address.

• You can forward all of the e-mail that comes to this address to another e-mail address. To do this, place a dot in the circle on the same line with "Enable Forward" Then in the "Forward E-mail to:" field type in the e-mail address you want to forward all the e-mail to.
• Next there are two options that you can check or uncheck. One is "Enable Save Copy and Forward". If you place a check mark here, then it will save a copy of every e-mail that comes in and then forward it on to the e-mail address that you specified.
• You can also "Keep the ZST protection while forwarding" if you place a check mark in that box.
• "Vacation" allows you to create a message that will be sent to everyone that e-mails you while you are away. PLEASE NOTE You will not receive e-mail while "Vacation" is enabled.
• To enable the vacation option just place a dot in the circle next to "Enable Vacation"
• Then you can type in the "Vaction Subject" and then the body of the message.
• For any options that you changed above to take effect you have to click "Modify User" at the bottom of the page.
